I Don’t Mind
By Sarah Hughes
Think of me just what you will and I’ll be satisfied
Stare at me when I walk by at least I know you tried
Cause I’ve been tripping over my own feet since I could barely walk
Trying to keep my back off of the wall
I was strumming my old guitar last night in that downtown bar
A stranger came up to me said my friend you’ll go real far
Well strangers come and strangers go, but this one stuck around
I guess he liked my Southeast country sound
So now I think about the day that I was born and the day that I will die
I think about the way they make the telephones work and what makes airplanes fly
Well I wonder ‘bout the ways that I might change if I ever did get signed
If I ever make it somehow I don’t think I’d mind
