When it Rains it Pours
By Sarah Hughes
When it rains it pours, you come knocking at my back door
Trying to get a piece of the pie
And as hard as I may try, there’s no way to deny
That sneeky little smile that’s waiting on me outside
We go out and have a good time, I’m not yours and you’re not mine
But we both know when it’s time to leave
You look at me and grin, all you’ve got to do is say when
You walk out first and I’ll be right behind
Chorus:
And it’s gonna be hard to hide it much longer
I feel like I’ve been working over-time
I’ve been losing sleep trying to keep it all straight in my head
All the while you’ve been passed out in my bed
I tell myself it’s no big deal, gotta act like it’s not real
Nothing’s real, it’s all just make believe
Baby it’s all fun and games until I mix up your names
All hell breaks loose and you walk out the door
Chorus
Situations get out of hand, it happens everyday
Just let it go, everything heals with time
I’ll let you know how this one ends, I sure hope we can still be friends
I’d rather have a lover lost than no lover at all
Chorus
