Risky Whiskey
By Sarah Hughes
Well I’ve heard it said year after year, stick with beer and you’re in the clear
That went in one ear and out the other, I never did listen to my mother
Said it before and I’ll say it again, “Please forgive me it’s just the whiskey”
Chorus:
It’s my poison, it’s my vice
It’s my best friend with the worst advice
Sometimes it’s my mouthwash that gives me all my nerves…once again I’ve been over served
Pass me the bottle I’ll drink it dry, it burns so hard, make a grown man cry
Come on lets dance, I’ll spin you around. Let’s just hope we don’t hit the ground
See ya’ll later try not to miss me, I just took a big shot of whiskey
Chorus
Well it ain’t no tellin’ what it’ll make you do
put a bag on your head and take your clothes off, too, whisky…it’s so risky
I might be crawling home tonight, so don’t give me no shit unless you want to fight
Chorus
Pretty soon Bob starts to yell that’s when we know we’d better get the hell
Out of here and try to make it home, one more shot and we’re on our own
Keep it between the mayo and the mustard, just so long as we don’t get busted
Chorus
